Founded
in 1998, the Westchester Chinese School
was formed by a group of dedicated Chinese teachers and parents in the Westchester area with a common vision: to provide
first-rate instruction in Mandarin Chinese language, history and culture.
The School is run jointly and collaboratively by a group of representatives
from the teaching staff and volunteer parents. We are a non-profit and non-political
organization welcoming parents and students of all races, religions and
creeds.
We are
located in Scarsdale, New
York, in central Westchester
County. Our school hours are Sunday from 2 pm to
4 pm. The academic school year
calendar is divided into two semesters and comprised of 30 sessions.
Our
mission is to provide the local community a place for the youth (levels I to V) to learn Mandarin Chinese language and culture. In particular, level I and II will have one hour of language and one hour of culture class every week. Pre-K can be accepted with the approval of the teacher. See details
We accept new students during the school year. Should you
require any further details, you can contact us or call our school Principal
Elio Loo, 914-946-1736, email Elioloo2002@yahoo.com.
